Package details and custom installations
What goes into your installation
All three tiers include permit fees in the installation price. A load calculation is performed during your in-person consultation to evaluate your home’s electrical capacity. Tiers 1 and 2 also include a standard compatible breaker, wiring and conduit materials, charger mounting and hardwiring, inspection coordination, testing, setup, a walkthrough, and cleanup. Charging up to 48 amps depends on verified capacity and charger specifications. Tier 2 adds the exterior materials and wall penetration described above. Tier 3 receives a written scope tailored to the project, with permit fees included in the custom installation quote.
Simple straight-through installations may qualify for the lower $1,895 package after review, even with an exterior panel. Masonry coring, trenching, concealed routes, panel or service upgrades, and load management receive a Tier 3 custom quote.
Installation pricing excludes the charger itself. You can supply a compatible, listed charger, or ask us for guidance before buying one.
No installation is too complex to discuss.
A challenging layout should never stop you from reaching out. We welcome complex installations and work with you to plan a practical solution for your home.
A comprehensive written quote and a clear explanation of the proposed work are available after assessment. Your installer explains the route, required electrical improvements, materials, permits, pricing, and any exclusions, so you understand what is needed and why before approving the work.
The $1,895 and $2,195 packages apply to qualifying single-family homes, with installation by Day Electric. Your written proposal confirms eligibility, the complete scope, applicable taxes, and any additional work before installation. Permit fees are included in all three tiers, including custom installation quotes. Additional work outside the agreed installation scope is quoted separately. Custom installation pricing is confirmed through HomeCharge Connect in a comprehensive written quote. Start with a free introductory consultation; any paid site assessment is agreed to in advance. Requesting a consultation does not book installation or take payment.

What does the $1,895 installation price include?+
For qualifying HomeCharge Connect projects, it includes the standard garage circuit and installation materials, up to 50 feet of accessible surface routing, charger mounting and hardwiring, permit fees, inspection coordination, testing, and setup. A load calculation is performed during your in-person consultation. You supply the charger. We verify eligibility and provide a written proposal before work begins.
What if my electrical panel is outside the garage?+
Our $2,195 Exterior Panel Installation package covers qualifying panels directly outside an attached garage, up to 50 feet of total accessible surface routing, and one ordinary wood-framed wall penetration with sealing and weather-rated materials. Permit fees, inspection coordination, testing, and setup are included, just as in Tier 1. A load calculation is performed during your in-person consultation. You supply the charger. We confirm eligibility and a written proposal before work. Simple straight-through installations may qualify for the lower $1,895 package after review; more involved work receives a comprehensive custom quote.
Can you help with a complicated installation?+
Yes. No installation is too complex to discuss. From detached garages and trenching to service upgrades or challenging wiring routes, we welcome your project. A load calculation is performed during your in-person consultation. Your installer then provides a comprehensive custom quote that includes permit fees and explains the proposed work, available options, costs, and any limitations before you decide.
Is the first consultation really free?+
Yes. The introductory 15-minute conversation is free and there’s no obligation to book installation. Any deeper paid assessment would be discussed and agreed to separately.
Do I need to buy a charger first?+
No. Bring your questions and any models you’re considering. We can discuss how charger options fit your vehicle and routine.
Will I need a panel upgrade?+
Not necessarily. Capacity, existing loads, charging needs, and possible load-management options need to be evaluated. A load calculation is performed during your in-person consultation to evaluate your home’s electrical capacity. Photos help start the discussion but don’t replace this assessment.
Does submitting the form book an appointment?+

Day Electric handles installations booked through HomeCharge Connect. Ryan Day, a Colorado master electrician and the owner of Day Electric, leads the service and helps you plan the right setup for your home.

Day Electric provides your written installation proposal, including the agreed scope and price. Qualifying projects receive our advertised package pricing; custom work receives a detailed quote. We handle installation, required permits, and inspection coordination.
